Why a Diamond Way Center in Kathmandu/Nepal?
Our new location is nearby at the Swoyambhu Stupa, the most important buddhist
holyplace on our planet.
Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah met there on the hill
in the year 1968 the
16th. Gyalwa Karmapa Rigpe Dorje, the head of the Karma Kagyu-
School of the Diamond Way and one of the greatest tibetan Masters of the 20th.
century. After a short time they became his first western students. After yearlong
studies with the highest teachers of this transmissionlineage is Lama Ole Nydahl
today buddhist meditationmaster.
On the top of the Swayambhu-Hill is the seed of
our Diamond Way Buddhism.
In the order of the 16th. Gyalwa Karmapa, Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife founded since over 30 years buddhist centers around the world.
The Diamond Way, skr. Vajrayana, now in the western print, once around the world
and back to the Himalaya's, "arrived" again in Nepal.
It is a place for the friends around the world, for pilgrimage and meditation.
